Galathea End User Licence Agreement
This EULA covers the Galathea application itself — the software you install — as distinct from the Terms of Service, which cover this website and your subscription. It applies whether Galathea reached you by download from this site, sideloaded APK, or an app store listing.
Licence grant
Subject to this agreement and your subscription in good standing, Hadalpoint grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and run Galathea on devices you own or control, for as many devices as one person reasonably uses. This is a licence to use the software, not a sale of it — Hadalpoint and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in Galathea, including its source, binaries, and the Hadalpoint marks.
What you may not do
You may not redistribute, sublicense, or sell Galathea or access to it; remove or obscure any notice of authorship or ownership; use the software to build a competing product; or circumvent any licence check, device pairing, or subscription-entitlement mechanism. Reverse engineering is prohibited except to the extent a law that cannot be waived by contract permits it.
Open-source components
Galathea is built on open-source projects — including wgpu, glyphon, tree-sitter, and the language grammars it embeds — each under its own licence. This EULA governs Galathea as a whole; it does not restrict your rights under those upstream licences, and a full attribution list ships with the application.
Paired hosts and remote builds
Galathea's tiered build model can route a build to a host you explicitly pair over a TLS-pinned connection — your own machine or one you control, not infrastructure Hadalpoint operates. You are solely responsible for what you pair, and for the security of that connection and that host. Hadalpoint is not a party to, and has no visibility into, code or data that passes between your paired devices.
Platform terms
If you obtained Galathea through an app store, that store's own terms apply in addition to this one, and govern anything this EULA and that agreement conflict on — including how in-app purchases and refunds are handled there.
Updates
Galathea may check for and install updates. Hadalpoint does not guarantee that any particular version will continue to be supported, or that an update will preserve compatibility with every project, plugin, or paired host.
Termination
This licence ends automatically if you breach it, or when your subscription ends, whichever comes first. On termination you must stop using Galathea and remove it from your devices; provisions that by their nature should survive — ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — do.

Export and sanctions compliance
To be set by counsel — Galathea is software with encryption components (device pairing, TLS), which can trigger export-control obligations independent of where the company is registered.
